Five new restaurants and cafes debut in Legazpi Village

Legazpi Village in Makati has welcomed five new dining and cafe spots this year, offering diverse options from European bistro fare to Japanese matcha specialties. These openings highlight the area's growing appeal as a culinary destination. Each venue brings unique concepts to the neighborhood.

Harry’s Bistro opened in February 2026 on the ground floor of Grand Midori. Run by the owner of Elbert’s Steak Room in Salcedo Village, it focuses on approachable European classics like pasta, hamburgers, and steaks. Signature items include Steak Frites, made with US Double Gold Tenderloin and café de Paris butter for Php 1,900, and Chicken Kiev, a breaded chicken fillet with herb butter served with mashed potatoes for Php 700. The menu also features small plates and classic cocktails, with private rooms available for various occasions.

Izakaya Terra marks the first Philippine branch of the Fukuoka-originated chain, which has locations in Thailand. It emphasizes Kyushu-inspired dishes using regional seasonings for authenticity. The highlight is Terra Gomaburi, yellowtail sashimi with sesame sauce, priced at Php 780 for eight slices or Php 540 for five. Beverages include sake, shochu, wine, and craft beer. Seating comprises 18 counter spots, 36 table seats, and private rooms.

Matcha Bar, originally from Davao, has arrived on Salcedo Street with premium Japanese matcha-based drinks. Popular choices are the Matcha Signature topped with house-made nama chocolate for Php 310, Kinako Hojicha for Php 270, and Matcha London Fog for Php 270.

MOAI Cafe & Concept Store combines a cafe with retail, selling art, clothing, jewelry, and homeware alongside comfort food and specialty drinks. Its culinary offerings come from Sunday Street Co., led by chefs Iyay Ignacio, Jovy Acuzar, and Tara Alvarez.

Yardstick, a key player in Manila’s third-wave coffee movement, has expanded to Aguirre Street. This branch uniquely serves kakigori, including the Fermented & Charred Pineapple Kakigori with house-made tepache sauce and grilled pineapple for Php 350.

These venues span European, Japanese, and coffee cultures, enhancing Legazpi Village's status as a culinary hub.
