Their 4x400-meter relay team of senior Dayton Lasack, first-year Logan Fairchild, senior Brandon Brazil, and junior William Frohling earned the 10th-fastest time of 3:13.38, while the distance medley relay team of senior James Corbett, Lasack, Frohling, and first-year Max Sudrzynski posted the sixth-best mark of 9:44.97.
From the Mid-Hudson region, six athletes qualified, including Vassar College junior Haley Schoenegge, seeded No. 2 in the mile with 4:43.41 and No. 3 in the 3,000-meter run with 9:32.71. Vassar senior Jahmilia Dennis is the No. 19 seed in the triple jump at 38 feet, 5.75 inches. Emory University junior John Urciuoli, a Monroe-Woodbury graduate, is No. 18 in the men's mile with 4:08.29. SUNY Delhi sophomore Amanda Intrieri, from Webutuck, holds the No. 11 seed in the women's 800 meters at 2:11.14. Relay participants include Springfield College freshman Parker Ruger on the No. 12 1,600-meter relay team (3:13.85) and SUNY Geneseo sophomore Connor Hitt on the No. 3 distance medley relay (9:41.63).
Other schools also had strong showings. Tufts University sent six men—Harris Gulbransen, Quinn Hampson, Sam Kurian, Cullen McCaleb, Cam McLeod, and Josh Wilkie—and five women, including Arielle Chechile, Liz Donahue, Simisola Lawal, Makayla Moriarty, and Elysse Cumberland. St. Olaf College qualified six athletes: Christian Fells, Cullen Moore, Lance Nemecek, Kevin Turlington, Paxon Myers, and Isabel Wyatt. Springfield College advanced six: Katherine DeFosse, Mike Anderson, Colin Hansen, Seth Twarog, Luca Kabel, and Parker Ruger. The Empire 8 conference reported a league-record 28 student-athletes qualifying across its schools.
