Avianca includes snacks and drinks on long-haul flights in the Americas

Avianca announced it will offer snacks and drinks for free in the Economy cabin on international long-haul flights within the Americas, specifically on routes longer than three and a half hours. This service adds to recent improvements in passenger experience, such as the expansion of Business Class and the installation of on-board Wi-Fi. For national and short international flights, food service remains available through the on-board sales menu.

Avianca announced a new measure to enhance its offerings on international long-haul flights in the Americas. Starting now, passengers in the Economy cabin will receive included snacks and drinks on flights exceeding three and a half hours. This initiative aims to adapt the service to travelers' needs, as detailed by the airline.

"In national flights and short international routes, the food service remains available through the on-board sales menu," the company specified in its statement.

This novelty joins other recent updates implemented by Avianca. Among them is the expansion of Business Class Americas to its entire network, now including national flights in Colombia, Ecuador, and Guatemala. Additionally, the airline has personalized ground services, such as the Insignia by avianca check-in, renovated the VIP Diamond lounges at El Dorado Airport, and progressed with the gradual installation of on-board Wi-Fi.

Katherine Stradaioli, senior vice president of Customer Experience at Avianca, stated: “With the incorporation of snacks and drinks for our customers in the Economy cabin on international flights in the Americas of long duration, exceeding three and a half hours, we reaffirm our commitment to offering a service that adapts to travelers' needs".

She added: "This bet adds to recent announcements focused on providing a consistent product, and on strengthening the experience both on the ground and on board with attributes that include Business Class across the region, as well as the progressive implementation of on-board Wi-Fi”.

Avianca emphasized that it will continue focusing on connectivity, punctuality, and service personalization for its customers.
