필리핀 보건부(DOH)는 HIV 감염인 치료를 위한 항레트로바이러스제 455,188병이 필리핀에 도착했다고 밝혔다. 해당 약품은 다음 주부터 배포될 예정이다.

HIV 항레트로바이러스제(ARV)의 1차 도입분은 수주 내로 전량 도착해 검사 절차를 밟을 예정이며, 2차 및 3차 도입분은 올해 8월과 9월에 각각 도착할 것으로 예상된다.
공급업체인 필 파마웰스(Phil Pharmawealth)는 총 120만 병의 LTD를 공급할 계획이다. 당초 60만 병 규모의 1차 물량은 지난 5월 인도될 예정이었으나, 공급업체 측이 중동 위기를 이유로 지연됨에 따라 일정이 늦춰졌다.
