Nike Book 2 'Must be the Denim' Prepares for Public Debut

Devin Booker's Book Chapter 2, his second signature model with Nike, debuted at the start of 2026. The sneaker launched in early January with two colorways inspired by the Phoenix Suns. It maintains a simple, timeless design echoing the original Book 1, incorporating elements from the Air Force 1 and Air Zoom Spiridon.

In February, during NBA All-Star Weekend, Booker collaborated with Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment on a limited blacked-out colorway, scheduled for wider release the following week. Meanwhile, Booker's alma mater, the University of Kentucky, introduced a player exclusive (PE) version in royal blue denim for their team.

This Kentucky PE has now evolved into a public offering named 'Must be the Denim.' Nike has not officially announced the release, but it is expected on March 20, 2026. The edition features a multi-color sail-game royal scheme, with style codes IB6687-900 and IB6688-900. It will retail for $145 at Nike and select retailers, omitting Wildcats branding.

The release aligns with Nike basketball's recent emphasis on denim aesthetics in performance sneakers, following the Book 1's extended run.
