The Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri has arrested Erwin alias Koko Erwin, a suspected drug lord on the wanted list (DPO), while attempting to flee to Malaysia. The arrest took place in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, on February 26, 2026, along with two other accomplices. Erwin is alleged to have bribed Rp1 billion to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Erwin Iskandar Bin Iskandar, alias Koko Erwin or Ko Erwin, was arrested by the Joint Team of Subdit IV and Satgas NIC of the Narcotics Crime Directorate (Dittipidnarkoba) at Bareskrim Polri. The arrest occurred on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, as Erwin attempted to cross into Malaysia to evade police pursuit.
Narcotics Crime Director at Bareskrim Polri, Brigjen Pol Eko Hadi Santoso, confirmed the arrest in Jakarta on Friday, February 27, 2026. "It is true that DPO Erwin has been arrested by the Joint Team of Subdit IV and Satgas NIC Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri," he said. Further details will be provided at a press conference.
During the operation, two others were also apprehended: A alias Y in Riau and R alias K in Tanjung Balai with Erwin. They are suspected of assisting Erwin's escape. Erwin was listed as a DPO due to allegations of bribing Rp1 billion to AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro while he served as Bima City Police Chief, through intermediary AKP Malaungi.
Head of Public Relations at Polda NTB, Komisaris Besar Polisi Mohammad Kholid, confirmed Erwin's suspect status. "Yes, sir (Koko Erwin is a suspect)," he stated via WhatsApp message. Polda NTB had previously designated Erwin as a suspect in the bribery case, with the arrest process ongoing before issuing the DPO status.
