Non-active Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didid Putra Kuncoro has been named a suspect in a drug possession case by Indonesian police. He faces life imprisonment or up to 20 years. The case began with the arrest of two police member household assistants possessing methamphetamine.
AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, the non-active former Bima City Police Chief, was named a suspect by National Police Headquarters on Friday, February 13, 2026, in a drug possession case. The designation followed a completed case review on the same day. He is charged under Article 609 paragraph 2 letter A of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code, joined with Law No. 1 of 2026 on Penal Adjustment, and Article 62 of Law No. 5 of 1997 on Psychotropics. Penalties include life imprisonment or up to 20 years, plus fines up to Rp2 billion, and up to 5 years imprisonment with a Rp200 million fine.
The case chronology started with the arrest of two police member household assistants, Bripka IR and his wife Saudari AN, in early February 2026. At their private home, 30.415 grams of methamphetamine were found. Interrogation by the NTB Provincial Police Narcotics Directorate revealed AKP ML's involvement in the methamphetamine distribution. AKP ML's urine test at Bima Regency General Hospital was positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. A search of AKP ML's office and official residence yielded five packets of methamphetamine weighing 488.496 grams net.
Based on AKP ML's statement, a search was conducted at AKBP Didik's private home in Tangerang on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. A white suitcase belonging to him was found at Aipda Dianita Agustina's residence in Perumahan Cluster Grande Karawaci, Tangerang, containing 16.3 grams of methamphetamine in seven clip bags, 50 ecstasy pills, 19 alprazolam pills, 2 Happy Five pills, and 5 grams of ketamine.
Currently, AKBP Didik has not been detained as he undergoes professional ethics proceedings. The ethics hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Professional Accountability Bureau of the Polri Professional and Security Division. Polri's Head of Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Edison Isir, stated, “AKBP DPK has been designated as a suspect.” AKBP Didik's wife, Miranti Afrina, and Aipda Dianita Agustina were also examined, including blood and hair tests to investigate their roles. National Police formed a joint team with the NTB Provincial Police Narcotics Directorate for further investigation. AKBP Didik has been removed from his position, as confirmed by NTB Provincial Police Public Relations Head, Commissioner Pol Mohammad Kholid.
