adidas Originals and SP5DER announce Superstar collaboration

adidas Originals has partnered with the streetwear brand SP5DER for a global collection featuring redesigned Superstar Supermodified sneakers and graphic T-shirts. The capsule merges SP5DER's punk-inspired aesthetic with adidas's heritage. It pre-launches on February 27, 2026, via SP5DER's website, with a wider release on March 3.

adidas Originals, the German sportswear brand, is collaborating with SP5DER, an Atlanta-born and Los Angeles-based streetwear imprint founded by rapper Young Thug. The partnership introduces a reworked version of the Superstar Supermodified sneaker, blending SP5DER's disruptive, punk-inspired style with adidas's iconic designs.

The sneakers feature premium patent leather uppers debossed with SP5DER's signature spider web motif. The Three Stripes are redesigned to appear stressed, bolder, and positioned closer to the forefoot for an aggressive stance. Additional details include metallic heel accents and a laser-engraved spider keychain. Two colorways are available: black with tonal black stripes and red contrasted by black stripes. Each pair comes in a special corrugated box with extra laces for customization—the black version includes Solar Green, Sp5der Pink, and Sp5der Yellow options, while the red includes White, Sp5der Yellow, and Sp5der Pink.

Complementing the footwear are co-branded graphic T-shirts with a puff print design reading “I Love Sp5der,” where the heart is replaced by the adidas Originals Trefoil logo. Sources differ on colors: one reports white and black options, while another specifies black and red to match the sneakers.

The collection pre-launches on February 27, 2026, via KINGSPIDER.CO, SP5DER's website. A global release follows on March 3 through adidas Confirmed and select retailers. Pricing is set at $150 for the sneakers and $70 for the T-shirts. Previews of the black and red colorways have circulated over the past year, following an earlier black/gold release at the start of 2026.
