AEW star Adam Copeland discussed his goals for his final tag team run with longtime friend Christian Cage after they captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Double or Nothing.
Copeland, who entered the wrestling industry alongside Cage in 1998, appeared on SHAK Wrestling to share his perspective on revisiting their partnership.
"I think more than anything it's, 'Hey, let's give this a try again and have some fun,'" Copeland said. "It's just a chance to revisit something that really worked well. And why not try and revisit it while we still can? Because, you know, that window's closing."
He highlighted their natural chemistry and noted that the pair continues to experiment in the ring, including debuting a new pop-up spear finisher in their first match back together after 15 years.
Copeland credited their real-life friendship for keeping promos unpredictable while maintaining in-ring synchronization.
