Filipina tennis player Alexandra Eala defeated Mexico's Renata Zarazua 6-1, 6-2 in the first round at Wimbledon on June 30.
The 21-year-old, seeded 29th and ranked world No. 32, completed the victory in one hour and 17 minutes on Court 12 at the All England Club. Eala converted four of 17 break point opportunities and hit 22 winners to improve her 2026 grass record to 10-3.

Eala will next face Australia's Maya Joint in the second round on July 2. Joint defeated Serena Williams 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 in the first round.
