The 58-year-old actor opened up about his career milestone and family life in a new interview. He admitted surprise at outlasting his own expectations after starting young.
Anthony Michael Hall is celebrating five decades in the business. The actor told People he thought the count was 49 until his mom reminded him he landed his first job at age eight.
He kicked things off with commercials and plays as a kid, then scored his first big break in National Lampoon's Vacation at 14. Hall said he is still grinding, building his production company and working year-round.
Family comes first for the star, who married Lucia Oskerova in 2020. He called fatherhood and marriage his greatest roles, adding that he and his wife embrace raising their son.
Hall also shared that he joined the Fox series Nation's Dumbest and ended up loving it despite years of trash-talking reality TV. Fame itself once felt scary to him as a teen, like something out of a horror movie.
So… does 50 years feel like enough, or is the next chapter already in production?
