The outlet reported that WWE is expected to want to retain the first-ever Women's Grand Slam Champion, even amid cost-cutting measures, possibly due to interest from AEW.
Sources told Fightful that discussions about Bayley joining AEW have occurred for almost a year, and she has been backstage at AEW shows supporting her best friend Mercedes Mone. AEW President Tony Khan does not make a habit of conversing with contracted WWE talent. Both companies are speculated to offer multi-year, multi-million dollar deals.
