BIK Karlskoga rallied from a 0-1 deficit to beat Modo 3-1 in game two of their HockeyAllsvenskan playoff semifinal, tying the series at 1-1. Modo forward Oscar Pettersson suffered an injury and did not return. The turning point came in the second period when Modo took three unnecessary penalties, allowing BIK to score on the power play.
In the first period at Nobelhallen, Modo took control with a passive style, capitalizing on a mistake by BIK goaltender Lars Volden to lead 1-0. The crowd offered little pressure despite moments of frustration, such as no penalty on a hit to Oliver Eklind and a broken stick for Henrik Björklund in Modo's power play. Modo forward Oscar Pettersson then tried to deliver a check but missed, landing awkwardly on his shoulder and head before leaving the ice. TV4 expert Fredrik Söderström called it 'olustigt' while Modo's coach confirmed Pettersson would not return, with Carl Mattsson replacing him in the fourth line. Hampus Plato of Modo said in a TV4 interview, 'Vi är alldeles för snälla därute, vi måste vara tuffare, fokusera på spelet med pucken men dela ut lite smällar också.'
