The PlayStation 4 and 5 ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2 have arrived, but they have left players disappointed with the quality for the price.
Activision is charging £35 ($40) for each re-release, or £70 ($80) for both. Players must pay an extra £52 ($60) for the season passes if they want the map packs, bringing the total to £122 ($140).
PlayStation Plus members can get a discount until 6th August, reducing the price to £52.12 ($60) for the full package. Activision confirmed the releases are simple ports with no enhancements.
The games run at 1080p without anti-aliasing or other visual upgrades. They lack 4K output, 120Hz support, and modern features such as an FOV slider.
Activision clarified on X that PS4 and PS5 players can matchmake together. Season pass owners can also play with non-owners.
