Boy George has shared a new pro-Israel reggae song titled We Will Dance Again on social media platforms.
The Culture Club singer posted the track on X and Instagram on July 26, accompanied by the Hebrew title עוד נרקוד and the caption Shalom. The song has not been released on traditional streaming services.
It addresses the October 7 attacks and criticises musicians who have shown support for Palestine. The opening line states You say genocide, I say war, while referencing the Hamas-led attack on the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, in which 344 civilians and 34 security personnel were killed and 44 people were taken hostage.
The phrase We Will Dance Again has been used as an expression of resilience by Israelis following the attacks and was the title of a 2024 documentary on the Nova festival. Boy George has voiced support for Jewish communities on several occasions, including at an anti-Semitism march in London in May.
