The fifth edition of Cali Distrito Moda began on June 9 with an opening runway at the historic train station in Palmira. Designers Jhoan Sebastián Grey and Giannina Azar led the event, broadcast live on Telepacífico. The fashion week expects over 35,000 visitors and more than 6,000 jobs.
The opening runway took place in Palmira with Grey presenting his conceptual vision and Azar showing a Spring-Summer collection inspired by nature and luxury. The red carpet started at 5:00 p.m. and the show at 6:30 p.m. The main event will run June 11 to 13 at the Centro de Eventos Valle del Pacífico in Cali. Additional runways, a Museum of Fashion and activities with over 15 celebrities are scheduled. According to Guio Di Colombia, CEO of Cali Distrito Moda, the edition aims to position Valle del Cauca as Latin America's creative fashion hub. In 2025 it generated 4,800 jobs and this year aims to exceed 6,000.
