The Cockroach Janata Party is set to hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on June 6 demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Founder Abhijeet Dipke is expected to arrive from the United States at 8 am to seek police permission for the gathering starting at 9 am.
The group, which has over 2 crore Instagram followers, cited failures in the education system including the NEET paper leak and CBSE exam issues. Spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Varun Das called for peaceful participation open to all, regardless of political affiliation. Delhi Police has not received a formal permission request as of June 6 morning but indicated it may grant approval after an undertaking. Over 2,000 personnel are deployed across 12 zones in New Delhi district, with instructions to avoid confrontation and use persuasion. Participants received guidelines to carry the national flag and a book, offer flowers to police, record proceedings, and avoid violence. Supporters including Sonam Wangchuk and actor Prakash Raj have voiced backing for the demonstration.
