A high-level meeting was held on Thursday night at the residence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the NEET-UG paper leak and re-examination plans. Senior officials from the NTA, CBSE and education ministry attended.
The meeting focused on preparations for a re-examination, exam security and measures to prevent future paper leaks. Attendees included Higher Education Secretary Vineet Joshi, School Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar, NTA Director General Abhishek Singh and CBSE Chairperson Rahul Singh.
The NTA cancelled the May 3 exam after confirming the leak. More than 2.2 million students are affected. NTA Director General Abhishek Singh said the re-exam date may be announced in the next seven to 10 days.
CBI investigations have traced the leak to an insider source in the NTA. Seven-day custody of five accused persons was granted and two more suspects were arrested.
