WWE Champion Cody Rhodes described a minor backstage outburst during preparations for his WrestleMania 42 match against Randy Orton. The incident occurred in the buildup to the April event and went unreported at the time.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show on June 24, Rhodes said he muttered curse words and knocked over water bottles after an F-bomb was dropped in the ring.
He told the host the moment reminded him he had outgrown such reactions. Rhodes added that he views temper tantrums as unhelpful and prefers to focus on providing solutions.
Rhodes also praised Triple H for handling the pressures of booking, noting no one in wrestling history has remained as widely respected while performing the role.
The champion said he was proud of remaining calm throughout the event despite added elements involving Pat McAfee and Jelly Roll.
