Indonesian athlete Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi claimed the gold medal in the women's individual speed event at the World Climbing Series Krakow 2026 in Poland with a time of 6.54 seconds.
Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi performed impressively in the final held on Saturday, 4 July 2026. She defeated Natalia Kalucka of Poland who took silver with a time of 6.62 seconds and Emma Hunt of the United States who claimed bronze with a time of 11.37 seconds.
Assistant Coach of the Indonesian National Speed Climbing Team Fitriyani said the result was the fruit of the entire team's hard work. "Alhamdulillah Desak meraih emas, ini buah kerja keras atlet dan tim secara menyeluruh," she said.
Two other Indonesian athletes, Raji'ah Sallsabillah and Kadek Adi Asih, had to end their campaign in the quarterfinals. Indonesia sent seven athletes to compete in the series held 3-5 July in Krakow.
