The My Disney Experience app has removed most of the Frontierland boardwalk path from its maps. The change has raised concerns that the physical path may soon disappear amid ongoing construction.
The update eliminates the main section of the path that previously allowed guests to bypass crowds during parades while heading toward Big Thunder Mountain or the Haunted Mansion.
A small remaining segment still appears on the app, routing visitors around the base of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The full boardwalk remains usable in the park for now.
The removal follows concept art for the planned Piston Peak area, a Cars-themed expansion that will include the Rally Racers attraction and a second family ride. No opening date has been announced.
The blog post notes that further details may emerge at the upcoming D23 event.
