Egypt's Ministry of Education and Technical Education signed a cooperation protocol with the Sawiris Foundation and a joint declaration with Germany to establish 10 Egyptian-German applied technology schools in hospitality and construction.
The agreements were signed in Berlin on July 20 by Minister Mohamed Abdellatif and Sawiris Foundation Executive Director Laila Hosny, along with German Minister of State Niels Annen.
Abdellatif said the declaration advances Egyptian-German cooperation and aligns with Egypt Vision 2030 goals for technical education quality.
Annen noted the model will link education outputs to labour market needs through accreditation, quality assurance and private sector partnerships.
The schools will feature competency-based curricula with German language units from A1 to B1 level, modern workshops and dual education models. The Egyptian side will supply buildings and staff while Germany provides curriculum support and teacher training.
