The Engineering Export Council of Egypt has launched the third edition of its Engineering Buyers Mission, bringing together 48 international buyers from 20 countries and 20 Egyptian companies.
The event was attended by Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid and Industry Minister Khaled Hashem, who participated on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, along with senior officials from related government bodies.
Sherif El-Sayyad, Chairperson of the Engineering Export Council of Egypt, said the Buyers Mission enables international buyers to inspect local manufacturing capabilities and hold business-to-business meetings, as part of a strategy to reach $7.5bn in engineering exports by the end of 2026.
The gathering featured nearly 800 business-to-business meetings between the 20 Egyptian firms specializing in energy, electrical equipment and cables and the foreign buyers.
