Diehard Beliebers queued around the block in New York’s Meatpacking District on July 16 for the opening of a Skylrk pop-up shop. The event offered exclusive streetwear, footwear and limited-edition speakers tied to Justin Bieber’s brand.
Shoppers began lining up late on July 15 outside the store on 14th Street. They waited to enter when doors opened at 10 a.m. the next morning. The pop-up, which runs until July 20, is the third physical retail experience for Skylrk after locations in Tokyo and at Coachella.
Inside the futuristic space with mint-green walls, visitors found boxy hoodies, cargo jeans, shield shades and the plaid Skylrk boxers Bieber wore at the Grammys. Limited Domo speakers were also available, with only 100 units at the pop-up and 600 more at a nearby Target store.
Bieber designed the shop to deliver more than merchandise. High-tech mirrors, karaoke-ready speakers and Skylrk x Blank Street matcha lattes created an immersive experience. The timing coincides with his scheduled performance at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium alongside Shakira, Madonna and BTS.
