Former Major League Baseball pitcher Carlos Carrasco joined the LG Twins and held his first media availability Tuesday at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.
Carlos Carrasco, who won 112 games over 17 Major League Baseball seasons and led the American League with 18 wins in 2017, signed with the LG Twins last week for $360,000 after splitting the 2026 season between the Atlanta Braves and the minors.
At his first KBO media availability Tuesday at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, Carrasco said, "I would like to thank God for this opportunity. I felt like this was a great opportunity, and the team really sold me on how they needed me here." He added that he sought "some new experience" in his career.
The Twins, who won Korean Series titles in 2023 and 2025, have dropped to third place after an eight-game losing streak. Carrasco said he does not view fan expectations as pressure and believes the team can overcome its recent slump.
