Fuerza Regida frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz and Rancho Humilde CEO Jimmy Humilde exchanged pointed Instagram messages on Sunday over their ongoing contract dispute.
The posts came as the band seeks to end its record deal with the label in federal court. Fuerza Regida alleges withheld royalties and interference with opportunities including a FIFA World Cup performance and a Major League Baseball soundtrack appearance.
JOP wrote that fans deserved to hear the band's music and see it perform at major events. He urged followers to contact Humilde and the label directly, closing with the phrase "EL QUE NADA DEBE, NADA TEME."
Humilde responded by defending the label's support and noting a reported $50 million payment to the band. He also accused JOP of mistreating bandmates and artists on his Street Mob Records imprint.
The label's attorney stated on Monday that all releases must follow the agreed distribution channels. The lawsuit remains in early stages with a motion to dismiss pending.
