Grupo Energía Bogotá completed the purchase of the remaining 49% in four Brazilian power transmission companies, reaching 100% ownership.
The transaction closed on Wednesday after being managed since April 30, 2026. Gebbras Participações, a GEB subsidiary, acquired the shares from Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras and Axia Energia.
The four companies are Goiás Transmissão, MGE Transmissão, Transenergia Renovável and Transenergia São Paulo. They operate 1,086 kilometers of lines at voltages of 500 kV, 345 kV, 230 kV and 138 kV, plus 17 substations in six states.
The portfolio's annual revenues are around 280 million Brazilian reais, equivalent to about 56 million dollars. The deal received approval from ANEEL, CADE and BNDES.
