The Georgia Tech men's and women's track and field teams announced their 2026 outdoor schedule on Tuesday evening. The Yellow Jackets will host two meets and compete in 11 total outdoor events before postseason play. Head coach Alan Drosky continues to lead the programs following the retirement of longtime men's coach Grover Hinsdale.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets track and field programs released their 2026 outdoor schedule, setting the stage for a competitive season under head coach Alan Drosky. Drosky enters his 30th consecutive season leading the women's team and now oversees the men's program after Grover Hinsdale's retirement last spring. Hinsdale had a 46-year career at Georgia Tech, including 32 years as head coach of the men's team.
The season opens with the Yellow Jackets hosting the Yellow Jacket Invitational on March 20-21 at the George C. Griffin Track & Field Facility. The following weekend, the teams will travel for relay meets at NC State and Florida State, followed by the Pepsi Florida Relays.
In April, Georgia Tech competes in two meets at Georgia and Lee from April 10-11. The Jackets then host their second home event, the Georgia Tech Invitational, on April 17-18. Later that month, they head to Philadelphia for the three-day Penn Relays and to Auburn for the Tiger Track Classic on April 25.
The regular season concludes in-state with the Torrin Lawrence Memorial on May 2 and the Emory Twilight on May 6. After a weekend off, postseason action begins with the ACC Outdoor Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, from May 14-16. The NCAA East First Round follows in Lexington, Kentucky, from May 27-30, culminating in the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, from June 10-13.
This schedule positions the Yellow Jackets for a strong buildup to conference and national competitions.
