The German showjumping team for the 2026 World Championships in Aachen has been announced. The squad includes four experienced riders aiming for a team medal on home soil.
The German federation selected Richard Vogel with United Touch S, Andre Thieme with DSP Chakaria, Daniel Deusser with Otello De Guldenbloom and Sophie Hinners with Iron Dames Singclair. National coach Otto Becker chose the combinations for the event scheduled from 11 to 23 August.
Marcus Ehning with Coolio 42 was named first reserve and Christian Kukuk with Checker 47 second reserve. A federation spokesperson said the goal is clear: a team medal for Germany.
The home team has secured several individual medals in recent years but last won team gold in the past decade at the 2021 European Championships. The four selected riders recently competed together at the La Baule Nations Cup.
