IEBC launches enhanced voter registration drive in five areas

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has started a month-long enhanced continuous voter registration exercise in five selected electoral areas starting today.

The drive runs daily from June 25 to July 25, 2026, in Mbeere North Constituency, Malava Constituency, Emurua Dikirr Constituency, Porro County Assembly Ward in Samburu West Constituency, and Endo County Assembly Ward in Marakwet East Constituency.

Eligible residents can register as new voters, transfer registrations, update details, or verify their status at County Assembly Ward offices, IEBC Constituency Offices, Huduma Centres, and institutions of higher learning.

Transfers require visits to the target constituency office, while updates must occur at the current registration office. The exercise follows recent by-elections in Malava and Mbeere North.

Ol Kalou Constituency remains excluded due to an ongoing by-election. Regular continuous voter registration will resume nationwide after July 25, operating Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
