Indonesia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) issued a strong condemnation of Israel's strikes on Beirut and various areas in Lebanon. The statement was posted on Kemlu's official X account on Friday, April 10, 2026.
"Indonesia strongly condemns Israel's various attacks on Beirut and various areas in Lebanon which have caused many civilian casualties and physical damage," Kemlu stated.
The ministry described the attacks as a serious violation of international law, including international humanitarian law. They risk worsening regional tensions and endangering global security.
Indonesia demanded that Israel immediately and permanently halt violence and aggression in Lebanon. Kemlu stressed the importance of protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure under international legal obligations.
"Indonesia calls on all involved parties to exercise maximum restraint, pursue de-escalation efforts, prioritize dialogue, and avoid actions that could worsen the situation," the statement added.
