Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Jack Sawyer will join teammates T.J. Watt and Nick Herbig for a three-week training session in Wisconsin ahead of training camp.
Nick Herbig shared the plans during an appearance on Cam Heyward’s Not Just Football Podcast. He described Sawyer as looking leaner and more explosive after his rookie season. “Jack’s gonna have a big year. I think it’s gonna be a breakout year for him,” Herbig said. “He’s coming to Wisconsin with me and T.J. this year for three weeks. I think that will be huge for him.” The workouts will also include players from other teams, such as Zach Baun of the Philadelphia Eagles and T.J. Edwards of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Herbig noted the sessions take place in a remote setting that demands mental toughness. Sawyer, a 2025 fourth-round pick, showed promise in limited action last season. The additional time with Watt and Herbig is expected to help him build consistency heading into his second year.
