AEW wrestler Jeff Jarrett has compared his WWE Intercontinental Championship victories to capturing the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, calling the latter a lifelong dream.
Jarrett held the Intercontinental title six times in the 1990s. He credited his first win with elevating his profile nationally and internationally.
"The Intercontinental belt, in so many ways, put me on the map on a national or international scene," Jarrett said on the podcast My World. He highlighted performing at Madison Square Garden alongside stars such as Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Shawn Michaels.
Jarrett described winning the WCW title in Chicago as the pinnacle of his career despite the promotion's decline. He noted the chaotic roster environment at the time yet expressed pride in performing when business was down.
