Jeremy Jacquet has detailed his reasons for selecting Liverpool over Chelsea in a £60 million move from Rennes. The 20-year-old centre-back cited the chance to learn from Virgil van Dijk and a faster route to first-team action.
Jacquet agreed a pre-contract with Liverpool in February. The club will pay £55 million plus £5 million in add-ons to complete the transfer this summer. He made 21 appearances for Rennes last season as they finished sixth in Ligue 1.
