Johan Eriksson returns to Sandvikens IK in Division 3

Johan Eriksson has signed with his mother club Sandvikens IK. The 33-year-old forward returns after a career in Hockeyallsvenskan and abroad.

Eriksson played 204 matches in Hockeyallsvenskan with clubs including Tingsryd, Modo, AIK and Almtuna. He recorded 107 points during those seasons.

Since 2022 he has competed in leagues in England, Scotland and Germany. In the German third division he tallied 99 points in 78 regular-season games.

Sandvikens IK general manager Markus Baggström confirmed the signing. He noted that several higher-level clubs had pursued Eriksson for some time.

Coach Nicco Westman said Eriksson will serve as a role model for the club's youth players both on and off the ice.
