KATSEYE says Manon hiatus was not about race

The five active members spoke in a Vanity Fair interview published on July 4. They confirmed that Manon’s absence since February stems from health reasons and not race.

Sophia Laforteza said the situation had nothing to do with race. She added that such speculation goes against everything the group stands for.

Lara Raj described the bond among the six members as the safest space they had. She noted that it is nothing but love between them.

Manon remains in contact with the group. Her temporary break was announced by HYBE x Geffen to focus on wellbeing.
