Kim Si-woo finishes third at RBC Heritage, two shots from playoff

South Korea's Kim Si-woo finished third at the PGA Tour's RBC Heritage on Sunday, two strokes shy of a playoff. England's Matt Fitzpatrick won the title by birdieing the first playoff hole against Scottie Scheffler. Kim posted a final-round 68 for 16-under total.

Kim Si-woo recorded a four-round total of 16-under 268 to finish alone in third at the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The 30-year-old South Korean shot a three-under 68 in the final round with four birdies and a bogey on the par-4 18th.

Starting four strokes behind overnight leader Matt Fitzpatrick of England, Kim played in the penultimate pairing with Brian Harman. He birdied the par-5 second and par-3 fourth but trailed as Fitzpatrick birdied the first and third to reach 19-under. Birdies on the 11th and par-5 15th brought Kim within two, but he bogeyed the 18th, finishing two shots behind Fitzpatrick and Scottie Scheffler, both at 18-under.

Fitzpatrick birdied the first playoff hole for his fourth PGA Tour victory and second of the year, repeating his 2023 playoff win at the event.

Kim's result marks his fifth top-10 finish of the 2026 season, tying his career high from several prior seasons. "It was a great round. Everything I did great, and then tried my best. It was really tough the last three holes, especially (when) the winds gusted," Kim said. "Kind of a little frustrated (with) the last three holes, but it was a good week." He has been seeking his first PGA Tour win since January 2023, with recent top-six finishes in January-February and a tie for 10th at the Valero Texas Open.
