Ferrari led both Friday practice sessions at the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix. Long-run data showed Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli with the strongest pace.
Ferrari drivers topped the timesheets in both FP1 and FP2 with a half-second advantage. Adjusted long-run analysis from FP2 revealed a different order.
Kimi Antonelli produced the fastest race-simulation pace, averaging 0.46 seconds per lap quicker than Charles Leclerc. Lewis Hamilton trailed by 0.67 seconds per lap while Lando Norris was 0.52 seconds slower.
Red Bull also lost ground on heavy fuel. Max Verstappen was 0.82 seconds off Antonelli's pace and Isack Hadjar 0.79 seconds behind. Aston Martin's updated car placed Fernando Alonso 3.42 seconds slower than the benchmark.
In the midfield Nico Hulkenberg posted the best long-run time among those teams at 1.25 seconds off the lead pace.
