Jamaican-Canadian designer Kirk Pickersgill has released his Greta Constantine Resort 2027 collection, drawing on childhood memories of Sunday church attire. The line emphasizes his signature cocktail dresses and gowns while incorporating pastel tones and versatile details.
Pickersgill, who recently marked two decades in business, named the collection “Next.” He explained that he plans to continue refining the elegant occasion wear his clients expect.
The designer drew inspiration from vibrant colors seen at Sunday mass in his youth. His mother dressed his sisters in matching outfits, and he wore similar versions as a boy.
Daytime looks include a minty-green maxi skirt in floral-appliquéd cotton paired with a white puffed-sleeve shirt. A butter-yellow tunic offers a high neckline and flowing hem, while light-blue sequined trousers evoke classic jeans.
Evening pieces feature a soft-pink floor-length caftan in gauzy sequin and a black strapless gown with ruffles and an attached white chiffon scarf that can be styled multiple ways.
