Directors from AEFE and representatives of Liceo Francés Louis Pasteur met on May 25 to review the institutional situation. AEFE confirmed the temporary suspension of rector Maxime Prieto and continued financial contributions.
The institutional meeting took place with participation from AEFE directors, the interim rectorate, the Council of Administration presidency and parent representatives. The goal was to review governance and prepare for the next school year.
It was acknowledged that old statutes create ambiguities in decision-making. The administration is advancing version number 11 of a statutory reform to strengthen transparency and accountability.
AEFE confirmed contributions close to 10 million euros for teacher payroll and student scholarships. It affirmed that the current agreement remains in force until 2031 without any desconvención processes or asset sales.
The temporary suspension of rector Maxime Prieto aims to allow a thorough review after weeks of uncertainty. The directors called for calm and protection of the school environment during student evaluations.
