Lidia Mabel Ojeda began her transfer from Buenos Aires to Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña on Friday under police custody. Chaco justice officials are investigating her for practicing medicine without a license in several public hospitals since 2023.
The operation began in the morning when officers from the Complex Investigations Division removed Ojeda from the San Martín Women's Police Detachment in Villa Maipú. Her arrival in Sáenz Peña is scheduled for dawn on Saturday.
The accused allegedly used the license of doctor Horacio Daniel Vázquez to cover shifts, prescribe medications and sign certificates in at least six hospitals in towns such as Quitilipi and Tres Isletas. Authorities seized a Redmi cell phone and documents during prior raids.
Deputies from the Chaco Puede bloc, including Iván Gyoker and Jorge Gómez, announced they will expand the complaint to probe possible cover-ups and control failures at the provincial Health Ministry. Prosecutors are also examining a death case with inconsistencies in the death certificate.
