Mamelodi Sundowns have advanced to the CAF Champions League final for a second straight year and will face Morocco's AS FAR Rabat in the two-legged decider.
The first leg is scheduled for Sunday 17 May at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria with the return fixture set for 24 May in Rabat. Sundowns reached the showpiece event after a strong continental campaign that follows their 3-2 aggregate defeat to Egypt's Pyramids in last year's final.
Midfielder Jayden Adams said the team must focus on securing a strong result at home before travelling north. Utility player Thapelo Morena added that recent final experience has prepared the squad for the challenge ahead.
AS FAR coach Alexandre Santos acknowledged Sundowns' organisation and experience while stressing his side's tactical discipline. The Moroccan club last won the competition in 1985 and has finished in the top two of its domestic league in each of the past three seasons.
A victory would give Sundowns their second Champions League title after their 2016 success and provide silverware after a difficult domestic season.
