A man in his twenties was shot dead in Uppsala on Sunday evening. Police launched a large operation in the Kvarngärdet district after the alarm at 21.11.
Police confirmed the man was found dead at the scene. Relatives have been notified of the death.
A preliminary murder investigation has been opened. Police are searching for possible perpetrators and examining the area for evidence.
Pelle Vamstad, police press spokesperson, confirmed that witnesses are being interviewed and nearby cameras are being checked. Cordon lines were set up and a helicopter took part in the operation.
