A 38-year-old man was sentenced today to life in prison and deportation for murdering his 50-year-old ex-girlfriend in Karlskrona last November.
The murder took place in the middle of the day on 27 November 2025 in Galgamarken, Karlskrona. Several witnesses saw the man stab the woman repeatedly on an open street. A person who tried to intervene was threatened with the knife.
The man had previously been issued a contact ban after the woman reported him for harassment and violence. He admitted breaking the ban but denied murder and unlawful threat.
The court convicted him of murder, violation of the contact ban and gross unlawful threat. The sentence means life imprisonment followed by deportation from Sweden.
