Matthew Hollingham runs a marathon every day to honor his fiancée

Matthew Hollingham ran a marathon every day throughout June. He is doing so to honor his late fiancée Lovisa from Örebro.

Each June day has followed the same pattern for Matthew Hollingham. He wakes up, eats breakfast and hesitates before putting on his running shoes, then covers 42,195 meters.

In addition to running he swims and cycles from the Arctic Circle to North Africa. The goal is to raise millions for charity along the way.

Hollingham says Lovisa would probably have been irritated that he is carrying out the challenge. He wants to honor her through the effort.
