The National Nutrition Agency reported the Free Nutritious Meals program has absorbed 1.28 million workers and involved 142,387 suppliers as of 22 May 2026.
National Nutrition Agency data as of 22 May 2026 showed 29,225 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units operating across Indonesia. The program has reached 62.45 million beneficiaries including students, toddlers, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and Islamic boarding school students.
President Prabowo Subianto stated in his 20 May 2026 speech that the program opened 1.2 million new jobs in kitchens. He added that markets and offtake are guaranteed for tens of millions of farmers, breeders, and fishers.
A total of 16,046 SPPG or 55 percent have obtained Hygiene Sanitation Eligibility Certification. Some 1,152 units had their operations suspended but 3,429 have resumed as of 19 May.
Since starting on 6 January 2025, the program has distributed 8.3 billion meal portions. Involvement of 59,921 MSMEs and various cooperatives has also driven the local economy.
