Kimi Antonelli and George Russell came into contact during the Formula 1 sprint race at the Canadian Grand Prix. The incident prompted immediate intervention from team principal Toto Wolff.
Antonelli attempted an overtake around the outside at Turn 1 but was forced onto the grass when Russell closed the door. The young driver expressed frustration over team radio, saying: “If we need to race like this, then good to know!” Wolff came on the radio twice to address the situation.
