Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett fell from the stage during a concert in Dublin on June 19. The incident occurred days after he wore a T-shirt that drew criticism from some Taylor Swift fans.
The fall happened while the band performed 'Seek & Destroy' at Aviva Stadium. Footage showed Hammett recovering quickly with help from fans and continuing the song.
Hammett later posted on Instagram Stories with the caption 'Slip & Destroy.' The June 19 show was the first of two nights in Dublin on the band's M72 world tour.
A week earlier, on June 13 in Budapest, Hammett wore a shirt that read 'Taylor Swift Is A CIA Psyop.' Images of the shirt led to backlash from some Swift fans on social media. Hammett has not commented on the reaction.
