Andy Roddick discussed the result on his podcast The Served. He described Andreeva as part of a group of young players showing both talent and a lack of ego.
Roddick also mentioned 19-year-old Joao Fonseca and 17-year-old Moise Kouame. Fonseca defeated Novak Djokovic in the third round, while Kouame reached the third round on his major debut.
Roddick admitted he had previously questioned whether the physical demands of the sport would prevent teenage major champions. Andreeva's win, along with other strong performances by players aged 18 and 19, changed that view for him.
Andreeva secured her sixth career title and her third of 2026. She previously reached the Roland Garros semifinals in 2024.
