A large rain area moves across Sweden on ascension day Thursday with up to 30 millimeters of precipitation possible in places. Eastern Svealand may see the most sunshine hours while the mountains could get wet snow.
SMHI meteorologist Emma Härenstam describes the weather as a mixed bag with rain and windy conditions. The rain moves away Thursday afternoon but showers may continue through the weekend.
Temperatures range from 10 to 15 degrees in the south and 5 to 10 degrees in the north. Klart meteorologist Lasse Rydqvist advises bringing an umbrella even on a sunny morning.
Conditions stabilize somewhat over the weekend with gradually rising temperatures. Eastern areas could reach near 20 degrees by mid-next week according to SMHI.
